Abstract

In 2019 the hospitality industry is working harder than ever to appeal to the generation Z consumers. In past years most individuals staying in hotels fit into a mold. Guests could be relatively easily broken into two groups - business travelers or leisure travelers. Although these two groups still exist there are also some travelers that do not fit easily into a mold. Generation z refers to the generation of young people that were born starting from “the mid 1990s to the 2010s” (Turner, 2019). This group is unique in that they are young people that enjoy traveling and do so quite often.
